Executive Chef Steve Michalzik is celebrating a quarter of a century in the kitchen and 10 years at Vintage Villas where he has served his guests world class cuisine for all dining occasions.
His resume includes country clubs, the Austin Metropolitan and private dining clubs. He has also been featured nationally on the Life Time Networks “I Do Diaries”, “My Best Friend’s Wedding” and the PBS special “Cocina Amore”.
Taking pleasure in Austin’s natural surroundings, Chef Steve is an avid fly fisherman, backpacker and scuba diver. His early culinary influences came from his German mother, who taught him Northern European cooking styles and encouraged him to eat everything on his plate. Always adventurous, Chef Steve frequently travels to other countries to learn new cooking styles, techniques and recipes.
His favorite entrée item on the Vintage Villas menu is the Pistachio Crusted Chicken served with A Coconut Beurre Blanc Sauce & Mango Relish.

Whether performing for a national audience, wedding reception, rehearsal dinner or corporate luncheon, Chef Steve will create a menu that is just right for your occasion.
Toss 6 oz of Spring Mix, 8 Grape Tomatoes, 2 shaved Red Onion rings, 2 tb. of sugared crushed Pecans, and ½ thin sliced yellow Bell Pepper and top with 2 tb. of crumbled Feta Cheese.
The Balsamic Dressing is prepared with 1 ½ oz of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 2 teaspoons of Balsamic Vinegar, ½ minced Shallot and ¼ teaspoon of Dijon.
Whisk the Dressing together and drizzle over the salad mix. This recipe serves two.
